MOST COMMUNITIES
OPTIMIZE FOR REACH.
WE OPTIMIZE FOR SIGNAL.

100Hz is where streaming engineers, data platform leads, and real-time architects come when they want a real conversation — not a vendor briefing.

We talk about what's breaking. What's working. What we wish we'd known.

Membership is curated. The list doesn't grow past 100 active members.

THE RULES

01

BE REAL.

Share what's actually working, what's broken, and what you're still figuring out. The value here comes from honesty, not polish.

02

WHAT'S SAID HERE STAYS HERE.

Everything is confidential. Chatham House Rules by default: use the insight, never the source.

03

NO PITCHES.

No demos, no "happy to share a deck." If you sell to this audience, you're here as a peer, not a rep.

04

HELP FIRST.

Answer questions when you can. Share the war story, the config, the postmortem. Generosity is the currency.

05

RESPECT THE ROOM.

Different stacks, different scales, different opinions. Disagree on the tech, never on the person.

06

PROTECT EACH OTHER.

What people share here can be sensitive. Don't repeat it. Don't screenshot it.

07

EXCLUSIVE BY DESIGN.

Membership is curated. Keep it that way: don't add or invite without a nod from the team.

THE SIGNAL
/ THE NOISE

Signal

  • You've debugged a Flink job at 3am
  • You have opinions about exactly-once semantics
  • You've had to explain event time vs processing time to a PM
  • You've chosen the wrong tool and learned from it
  • You want to talk to people who get it without 20 minutes of context

Noise

  • You're here to generate leads
  • You want to announce things
  • You haven't shipped anything in production
  • You think "real-time" means "fast batch"

THE CONVERSATION
IS ALREADY HAPPENING.

100Hz is active. Members are in there right now.
You can request an invite. We'll review it.
If the fit is right, you'll hear from us.

No commitment. We review every request personally.

QUESTIONS

Who runs 100Hz?

100Hz is run by the team at Ververica — the company behind Apache Flink. We sponsor the community but don't control it. Members set the norms. We're here to keep the lights on and make sure the gatherings happen.

Is this online, in-person, or both?

Both. The core community is online. We run in-person gatherings in key cities — starting with wherever the founding members are. You'll be notified when one lands near you.

Is there a cost?

Not for now. Membership is free. We'll be transparent if that changes.

What platform does the community use?

We'll share details with accepted members. We keep this off the landing page intentionally.

Can I nominate someone?

Yes — and it's actually how most members get in. If you're accepted, you'll get a nomination link. Use it carefully. Your reputation travels with it.

I'm not a Flink user. Is this still relevant?

Yes. 100Hz is about real-time and stream processing broadly — Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming, Kinesis, Pulsar, whatever you're running. The tool is secondary. The problems are universal.
